The Story Behind the Scent

This one’s personal. Leather + Black Gold was inspired by my Pawpaw and my dad’s side of the family — oil men through and through. My dad grew up working the oil fields of West Texas, and after college, went on to become an oil trader for some of the largest oil companies in the world. The pump jacks, the red dirt, the smell of leather work gloves and sunbaked machinery — this fragrance is my way of bottling that legacy.
